More Prayers for the Luminous Mysteries

Some people pray the Rosary in the style of St. Louis de Montfort, which consists of an offering of each decade. Others like to add a short phrase relating to the current Mystery to each Hail Mary. The following are some suggestions on how this can be done with the new Mysteries.

In the style of St. Louis De Montfort:

  1. We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy Baptism in the Jordan River, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy holy Mother, the grace of obedience to the will of the Father. Amen.

May the grace of the mystery of the Baptism of Our Lord come down into our souls. Amen

  2. We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy first Miracle, performed at the request of Thy Mother, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through her intercession, the grace to have recourse to her in all our necessities. Amen.

May the grace of the mystery of the Miracle at Cana come down into our souls. Amen

  3. We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy Proclamation of the Kingdom of God, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy holy Mother, the grace of conversion for ourselves and our loved ones. Amen.

May the grace of the mystery of the Proclamation of the Kingdom come down into our souls. Amen

  4. We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy Transfiguration on the Mount, and we ask of Thee through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy holy Mother, the grace of reverence and recollection in Thy presence. Amen.

May the grace of the mystery of the Transfiguration come down into our souls. Amen

  5. We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy great gift of the Most Holy Eucharist, and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy holy Mother, a love for Thy Eucharistic Presence. Amen.

May the grace of the mystery of the Blessed Sacrament come down into our souls. Amen

Possible additions to the Aves:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus...

1. ...Who was baptized in the Jordan.

2. ...Who changed water into wine at your request.

3. ...Who proclaimed the coming of the Kingdom.

4. ...Who was transfigured on Mount Tabor.

5. ...Who gives us His Body and Blood in the Eucharist.

...Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
